Viewing Tips

EOtv Viewing Options

EOtv provides a number of alternatives for viewing, including on-site viewing via streaming video, or a number of offline viewing options including, iTunes podcast and MP4 file download for viewing on a computer, or download to an iPod/iPhone or Blackberry or other Smartphone. To play an MP4 file on your computer, you can use the free iTunes, Blackberry Media Manager, or VLC, available for free for all computer operating systems. Click here to download VLC.

EOtv Viewing Tips

EOtv uses Flash video to ensure a high quality viewing experience. If you have a slower connection, we recommend that you hit play to start the player and watch the progress bar in the player; it shows the download progress. The player will download the streaming video into your computer's memory, however this could take some time depending on the speed of your connection, so please be patient. Try playing the webcast by hitting the play button, if it stops playing, please pause and wait for more video to download.

Please note: any other downloads or browsing while watching the cast could affect the video player performance. If you are downloading movies or music, consider pausing those downloads while you watch the web cast.

  • EOtv requires Flash 10 or higher. (You may be prompted to upgrade your version or click here for the latest version (free download))
  • The video player will load and play automatically. If it takes longer than 10 seconds for the player to appear, you may retry or you may have an Internet connection problem.
  • Please adjust the volume on the Player volume control to your desired level.
  • Please ensure the angle of your monitor is tilted correctly for ideal brightness and contrast.
  • By clicking on a banner next to the web cast player, you will be taken directly to the relevant website.
  • We recommend the following minimum system configuration:
    • 512kbps or higher broadband connection
    • 1GHz or faster processor
    • 512MB of RAM

Try Clearing the Cache to Increase Speed

Windows

Internet Explorer 8
  1. From the Safety menu, click Delete Browsing History... .
  2. Check Temporary Internet files and History, and then click Delete.
Internet Explorer 7
  1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options... .
  2. Choose the General tab.
  3. Under Browsing history, click Delete... .
  4. Next to "Temporary Internet Files", click Delete files... .
  5. Click Close, and then click OK to exit.
Firefox 3
  • From the Tools menu, select Clear Private Data, and then check Cache. Click Clear Private Data Now.

Mac OS X

Safari
  1. From the Safari menu, select Empty Cache... .
  2. When prompted, click Empty to confirm that you want to empty the cache.
Firefox 3 for Mac OS X
  1. In Firefox, from the Tools menu, select Clear Private Data.
  2. Make sure Cache is checked, and then click Clear Private Data Now.
